The working principle of the CAM splitter is: on the yoke of the input shaft, the CAM is engaged perpendicular to the pitch plate that is evenly distributed on the needle bearing of the output shaft, and the curve segment of the CAM shape drives the needle bearing of the pitch plate to rotate the pitch plate, and the straight segment stops the pitch plate and automatically locks it. The stability of rotation process of precision intermittent CAM divider (i.e., work station translation and stop state process) is related to the indexing accuracy of pitch plate, the machining accuracy of CAM curve and the surface roughness of CAM curve. There is no gap between the engagement of the CAM and the pitch plate, so the uneven index of the needle roller bearing of the pitch plate may cause some gap between the needle roller bearing and the CAM surface, or excessive pressure. When the splitter works, it shakes under the action of moment of inertia. When the surface roughness of the CAM curve is too large, the roller bearing will vibrate when rolling the surface of the CAM curve, and the vibration will be transmitted to the output shaft and the matching station plate, thus affecting the yield of the workpiece in the production process of the equipment.

3. Align the input and output shafts, fill the positioning pins, and tighten the screws evenly.


4. The splitter plays the role of pulsating load torque, so the installation must be very strong.


The CAM splitter manufacturer mentions that since the CAM splitter mounting surface is perpendicular or parallel to the input and output axes, the device mounting base must ensure that the CAM splitter input and output axes are coaxial with the desired input and output directions of the device.
